If you would visit eleven companies that are at the start of a lean program, what would you see when you go back eight years later?
A research team of Massey University did exactly that. After eight years, only one of the eleven companies they studied was sustaining the lean implementation. Two were still attempting to sustain, two were attempting to reimplement, four had abandoned lean and some had ceased operating. They empirically studied the predictive value of typical organizational factors like leadership, strategy alignment and consultant support in lean implementation programs.
During this webinar, Professor Nigel Grigg of Massey University shared his insights of this eight-year longitudinal research and our very own operational excellence experts Gert Linthout and Lotte Van Meirvenne completed this presentation with some tips on how to increase your chances of success based on our experience.
